An official at the Saraburi Land Transport department admitted on Facebook that a maid had thrown away hundreds of out of date licenses by mistake.

The licenses - mostly cut up but still intended for storage - were photographed by a Facebook user in a pile beside the Saraburi bypass earlier in the week.

Embarrassed Saraburi Land Transport department representative Wilaiporn Janthaboon later posted a statement on Youlike saying that a maid had misunderstood and thought she should throw them all away.

After that they had probably blown off the municipal dust cart, she said.

But not to worry - the department sent out someone to collect them and they were now all back where they belonged, in storage, she said.

Ahhh...now we know the true value of those issued licences through the decades...

Sure, just blame the maid :post-4641-1156694606: That is the easiest thing to do. (must save face)
