last year my wife had i baby in the UK on a 6 month tourist visa.
We paid the NHS £4500+ for all the care needed

im applying for my wifes settlement visa now. im hoping to go to VFS next week .

ive wrote a support/explanation letter concerning the whole event and how we came to the decision to have our baby in the UK,  im kinda falling on sword, after all its my fault really.

But letters of this nature or letters in general are not really my forty. ( im a builder)

My letter is approaching 400 words  , im wondering if thats to long. maybe to short .

so im wondering if any of the trusted members on here want to have a look at it , someone with a bit off experience in ECO matters .

 thanks

heres the first paragraph

"We never set out to intentionally have our baby in england
***** was going to return to Thailand at 7 months pregnant and give birth in Thailand where she would have all the support needed from family and friends, I was hoping to return and have a short holiday for the birth. When we made these plans we were both very naive and underestimated the whole event."

As well as explaining that the original intention was to return to Thailand for the birth, explain why she didn't.

As you know, visitors to the UK are not entitled to any NHS treatment except initial emergency care in A&E (and a very few other situations). If they receive chargeable care and do not pay, then any future UK visa application will be automatically refused until they have paid the bill.

But your wife paid for her treatment at the time; so I do not see a problem.

Do you still have proof of payment; such as invoices or receipts? If so, enclose them.

Edit:

Just remembered this topic

Be a good idea to explain why you did not mention her pregnancy in her visit visa application; particularly as you say there that the intention all along was for her to give birth in the UK!
