Off to do my yearly Non O (Thai wife) extension (with B400k in the bank) at CW later this week. Just wanting to know if there are any new requirements or hurdles.

No obligation to own a computer and a printer.

From a quick look it's identical to the hand-filled form.

There are some small differences. Compare notice number 1, the photo size and the line for arrived by.

There has already been a report of an office wanting the new form and they had to fill out a new one by hand.

New form is also here on immigration website. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=download

All of them in PDF format are new forms including the TM8.

Now that I compare them side by side they are indeed easy to distinguish.

Different font style/size etc.

As a courtesy they now write 4*6 cm for the photo size.

I have an old one where it was in Thai numerals only

So actual size unchanged.

 

i did my retirement extension today at CW (same area you'll be going to).  it was an all day affair.  arrived 9:15 and left at 3:15.  i was a little surprised at the number of people.  i got number 95 and they were on 15.  first time i did a retirement ext but have done many tourist or visa exempt extensions.  monday was a holiday.   i'm not sure about friday.  a fellow farang i talked to thought CW would be closed on friday also.  but i thought i read that was not the case.  you should check.  if it is, i'd postpone the visit until next week.  i've arrived at 9:15 many times for the other extensions and been out by noon almost every time (sometimes by 10am !!).  but not sure what the standard is for the non imm O.  i hope the norm isn't what i experienced today. 

The will be on open on Friday the 5th. The coronation day holiday was cancelled by the cabinet on April 11th and 2 other holidays were added at the same time.
