What options best for

Got a tourist visa granted in London in February which ran out in April.  Flew to HK got another tourist visa which expires 22.06 but my flight back to London is not until 4th July from bkk and it's my Mrs birthday on 27th June.

If I fly out can I get back in on a standard 30 day visa on arrival?

Or do you think that could be seen as a border run?

Or is the other option to get to bkk and get a 30 day extension slapped on my current visa?

Appreciate some advice.

You can go to your local immigration office a week or so before June 22 and apply for a 30 day extension of stay. It will cost 1,900 baht.

Thanks Elvajero. So all immigration offices nationwide can provide the extension I need?

For Bangkok Imm Office - Cash. Passport. 1 photo. Copy of main page, copy of visa page(s), as well as copy of departure card. Some, not all, immigration offices want a document confirming address and signature of house or condo owner. Bkk is not one of them but Nonthaburi seems to be.

You can apply at any office, but you will need to use an address within the catchment area of the office you're applying at. Hotel address is fine.

  • Original passport plus copies of ID page, visa, entry stamp, departure card.
  • Application form TM.7; download here or get at the immigration office.
  • Photo; 6x4 cm

If you are staying at a private home some immigration offices want a TM.30 form. It is a form that the owner/housemaster or possessor should submit to report that you are living at their property. Hotels do this reporting automatically.
