RICHMOND, Va. (Reuters) - Federal appeals court judges on Monday peppered a U.S. Justice Department lawyer with tough questions about President Donald Trump's temporary ban on travellers from six Muslim-majority nations, with several voicing scepticism that protecting national security was the aim of the policy, not religious bias.

PARIS (Reuters) - Police gradually began reopening Paris' Gare du Nord train station early on Tuesday morning after earlier evacuating the platforms and cordoning off the area because of a security alert, local police authorities said.

PHOENIX (Reuters) - A 23-year-old man suspected of killing eight people over seven months in a string of serial shootings in Phoenix in 2016 is already behind bars on a murder charge for another slaying the year before, the city's police chief said on Monday.

PATTAYA, Thailand – It was proclaimed the “best day of the regatta” by many as the steady breeze on the final day delivered some of the closest racing yet on the keelboat and multihulls course. Just seconds determined who would have the bragging rights at the Ocean Marina Gala Dinner and series prize-giving evening, which was presided over by Admiral Kraisorn Chansuvanich, President of the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand.

JAKARTA (Reuters) - An Indonesian court has found Jakarta's Christian governor Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama guilty of blasphemy against Islam and sentenced him to two years in jail, a judge said on Tuesday.

Division 1 police commander removed for last week’s pub raid on Khao San road
