PACC inspects rampant corruption in Petchabun

PETCHABUN, 9 May 2017 (NNT) – The Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) has uncovered rampant corruption in Petchabun province after public structures were found to not match blue prints and not meet standards.

PACC Secretary-General Prayong Preeyajit has led a contingent of authorities to Petchabun province’s Nong Phai district, where up to 222 projects handled by sub-district administrations were found to have experienced corruption of about 5 million baht each, together totaling a cost of over 62 million baht.

The team inspected a 99 meter long bridge in Ta Daeng sub-district, finding it cracked and deteriorating, with metal beams protruding from cracked concrete. A similar situation was found at a public park and a weir elsewhere in the district.

The PACC has now resolved to investigate all 222 projects, suspecting even more graft. All findings will be submitted to the Ministry of Interior and the Prime Minister.

Not just in Petchabun, they could go to any other province in Thailand

and find the exact same rampant corruption,222 projects ,tip of the iceberg.

Just think what Thailand would be without all the waste and corruption.

This country is built on corruption and will ever continue to be.It is almost as bad as The US was in the 1920s,but at least the people helped to get rid of their corrupt politicians there but no hope like that for here.

when are the govt going to start arresting all those involved and seize their assets that were gained through these corrupt practices, it happens all over Thailand but they never try to recoup all the money that has been stolen. The officials all have huge houses, land etc all paid for with the illegal money but do not lose it, this is simply pathetic on the govts part as they do not make them pay for their crimes, screw their families welfare, they are also profiting from what they do so seize it all. This isnt confined to this sort of thing either, govt office officials demand millions to approve anything required by businesses, I have seen it time and time again, corruption is rife and needs to be stopped

Stop whining. Corruption is improving since the post coup reform but first we go after our political enemies and the rest will follow. :passifier:
