Thai researchers invited to apply for scholarships in Australia
By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- The Australian Embassy in Bangkok has invited Thai scholars, researchers, students and professionals to apply for 2018 Endeavour scholarships and fellowships.

The Australian government’s internationally competitive, merit-based scholarships and fellowships provide opportunities for citizens around the world to undertake study, research and professional development in Australia.

The Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships promote leadership, research and academic excellence. It builds linkages between Australia and the region, the embassy said in its press release.

The scholarships and fellowships are now open to all Thais who want to pursue study in Australia in four categories: postgraduate scholarship, research fellowship, vocational education and training scholarship, and executive fellowship.

Those interested can visit https://internationaleducation.gov.au/endeavour for more information and online applications.

They have until June 30 to apply for the fund. Thai applicants should direct questions to [email protected]

Around 170 Thai scholars have been granted the fellowships and scholarships since the programme’s inception in 2007.

The fund also provides opportunities for Australians to undertake research and professional development in Thailand.

Thai restaurants, just wondering, has the Thai government ever offered

You may want to accustom yourself to witnessing high unemployment, drug use rampant, a government that does nothing to create jobs or build infrastructure, and generally get use to no common sense.

Their main problem will be that somtam is not readily available and massages are very expensive. Oh, and all are equal under the law! They may also be astounded that drivers actually stop for red lights and drive in an orderly manner. They may also be confused that they will only be charged the same as locals and not discriminated against, they can criticize the government without recourse and enter a national park for the same price as a local. They can even buy land there if they can afford it!

Most expats live in thailand because accommodation is much much cheaper..

THe average ozzie is much much wealthier than his thai  counterpart.

Try comparing whether an old thai can go and get a retirement visa to live in oz unless he or she is very very minted..

If we expats could openly buy land it would send prices skyrocketing and out of reach of normal thais.

If it is so unfair why live here?

I get treated very well and have no issues with police, other thais and thai culture generally.

Then again I try hard to fit in .

The standard of Australian University education has declined dramatically in the last 10 to 15 years. Why? GREED. The administrators and owners know that if they do not pass the vast majority of foreign students then their income will diminish remakably. If they don't pass them parents will send their students to education facilities that do!!

Dear Junta. Anyone going should have a cranial wash rinse and political recycle before you send them off. Give them a copy of the 20 year road map for Thailand to keep em on board in another country where truth is the order of the day.

Are you trying to say the world is falling apart at the seams. I would never have guessed.
