petedk
I was watching BBC World News this morning about an Italian ship builder (Actually it wasn't so interesting so I didn't pay much attention to it.) Anyway he started talking about selling these fast gunboats (or whatever they were) to the Asian market including Thailand. I heard the word Thailand so I dragged my eyes from the newspaper to listen to the report. Suddenly up came the dreaded sign "Normal services will be resumed shortly". I tried several other channels and no problems. Was it censorship or technical?
brewsterbudgen
Censorship. One of the reasons that internet TV sites are being shut down is that they are not subject to government control. True is a Thai company that is not gong to do anyhting to upset the government.
petedk
One of the reasons I like Internet TV is that you can read or listen to anything you want without someone censoring what they think is unsuitable content.

Me too. But I can see why the Thai government don't want unrestricted reports on certain events, people and antics being broadcast here!
petedk
Ok I agree with you to a certain extent, but every time they mention Thailand someone cuts the transmission. Today was a harmless business report about an Italian ship builder

TonyBB
I remember some months ago, one of those Thailand Board of Investment commercials came on, and as soon as "Thailand" was mentioned, the program was cut for next few minutes.
