BANGKOK: -- Around 20 “Red Beret” Army rangers from the Special Warfare Command stood guard at Government House on Wednesday, two days after a bombing at Phramongkutklao Hospital which injured 25 people.

The soldiers inspected security measures around the compound and checked high buildings and other locations where potential attacks could take place.

The Special Warfare Command was headed by Gen Chalermchai Sittisart in 2013 before he was promoted to the Army chief in 2015.

Stepson did his national service in a "Special Forces" Regiment.
He had a red beret, para wings and airborne flashes.
The only time he has been in an airplane was an Air Asia flight to Bangkok.
The only time in a helicopter was on the ground at a childrens day display!
