For a tourist visa ,The Royal THAI Embassy required :

• Photocopy of airline ticket or confirmation slip with applicant's name, flight number as well as date of entry and departure : I don't need to buy a ticket right ? 
•      also they want a Photocopy of hotel reservation : Do you think a confirmation from Booking.com enough ?

I am planning to travel on August 07 , 2017 I think i can apply for a visa 3 months in advance right?

Which Royal Thai Embassy are you referring to? The rules are different depending on location. Also, in many countries you are better off applying for a single entry tourist visa at an honorary consulate.

 

You are correct, you can use a single entry tourist visa to enter Thailand up to 3 months after it is issued.

I guess it depends on which embassy/consulate & how much of a pain in the bottom they are. My one has no need for any tickets or hotel reservations. Just pay the application fee, fill in the application form & give them your passport. That was nearly a year ago, but possibly still the same.
