I think the guys with the darker uniforms are special branch police...191 squad or as the Thai's refer to them "Political Police" its difficult to see as the arm badge is worn on the right arm.

these titles including '191 police' will continue to generate confusion; why not call them 'department 191 police'

or similar qualification

Actually our lad said exactly that, his lot do not do photo shoots..
