Cheapest flight to a neighboring country from Bangkok (e.g. for a border/visa run by air):

Simply look at the Air Asia website. They are hard to beat on that.

Check for Don Mueang (DMK) to Kuala Lumpur (KUL).

Check for the cheapest day of week.

Plenty of flights and can be done as a return trip in one day.

Even without checking I am quite sure that flights to other countries will not beat that.

OK, Nok Air to Yangoon (Myanmar) might come close in price.

But only three flights a day.

And personally I would prefer AirAsia over NokAir anytime.

And for border/visa run, Malaysia is much easier in terms of visa free entry (no cost) for many nationalities.

Plenty of cheap charlie flights. Google the destinations and it will show.

I have found that your local travel agent in your neighborhood were about the cheapest .Better then on line.

Thank you all. I see, the cheapest tickets are around 1300 Baht.

I would disagree with KhunBenq If you are looking for a phoney flights Air Asia Bangkok to Myanmar (Yangon or Mandalay) is normally cheaper than KL. Skyscanner is a very good site these days, it has most of the budget carriers and is the obvious starting point.

To back up my point i did a quick AA search in last  week in June, DMK to KL cheapest baht 2800, DMK to Yangon baht 1200

Wait for the Air Asia promotions, about 2-3 times a year. Fares to local countries around 1000 baht.

OP is asking from Bangkok.

Promo fares from Bangkok Airways (Yangon, Luang Prabang).

I would agree, cover both airlines and agents.

Thanks to all. Skyscanner gave me the best price. From Krabi (ok, it's not Bangkok but it's fine) to Singapore for Baht 1020 with AirAsia by the online Agent Airpaz.

I paid it at Family Mart and a immediately got the confirmation.
