snoop1130
Mini Moon: Check out weirdly small micromoon on Friday By Coconuts Bangkok Photo: National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand The supermoon was so overrated. This Friday, it’s time for the “micromoon” to shine. The National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) asked the public to keep their eyes open for the micromoon at the end of the week, it’s the smallest moon of the year. On Friday night, the moon will be furthest away from the earth at 406,402 kilometers. In Thailand, the micromoon will be fullest at 8:11pm. You won’t see ol’ micro again for another year after that. Good news, my local Lunatic says you can see it anywhere east or west of the equator. So, no problemo.
Stargeezr
If anyone wants to see something fantastic, it would be if one of the nearer stars supernovaed one star that would be very noticeable if the shoulder of the Orion constellation, Betelgeuse, went boom. The notices of the moon or mars or any planet being close or far is not really news to get excited about. Geezer
