Well I would want a car that hit me to have comprehensive insurance rather than somebody with 350 baht a year insurance.

The compulsory insurance does not cover your vehicle and why do you not have your own comprehensive insurance?

A miss understanding  your right compulsory insurance does not cover your vehicle. The  point is was they hit you will their insurance  (compulsory ) pay for all damage and who`s garage  do have to use usually the cheapest and not your choice.

Their compulsory insurance will not pay for property damage so the question of who's garage performs the repairs is irrelevant.
