London police said 79 people were dead or missing presumed dead after a devastating tower block blaze last week.

London Police Commander Stuart Cundy said the toll from the Grenfell Tower blaze could still change but probably not as much as it had in recent days.

He also said that five people who were reported missing had now been found safe and well.

why would they be covering anything up? and how, they are just counting bodies, obviously very difficult if all there is left looks like the results of a crematorium.

Indeed, until each flat has been thoroughly searched and all the bodies counted, the final toll will not be known.

Obviously, this cannot be rushed, not only to avoid missing something but also due to the safety of those conducting the search.

We cannot assume that someone is dead simply because they are missing. As the report in the OP says
