How long to change a visa in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I currently have a 30 days exemption of visa that I need to change it to get a non immigrant research visa. I already have used about 10 days in the exemption and still can extend it. I plan to do the extension in bangkok at chaeng wattana.

All the letters I have for the application have dates for the beginning of my research starting the 27 of this month. I'm still awaiting for a last document that I will get Thursday or Friday. So I can't apply before Friday.

Is anybody knows how long it takes for the immigration officer to change the visa?

Because Im not sure if my application  will be accepted due to the dates in the letters and I'm wondering if it is not better to apply outside Thailand

Thanks for your answers in advance.

You will need at least 15 days remaining on the 30 day entry you have now or the 30 day extension of it it to apply for the non immigrant visa.

It takes about 15 days from the date you apply for visa to get the visa and 90 day entry stamps. The 90 days will be stamped from the date you apply for the visa.

Not sure the date on your letters will be that relevant to the application.
