Multiple Entry Visa Requirement Question When Self Employed

Featured Replies

The Thai Embassy in London mentions this when self-employed...

If you are self-employed, you self-assessment and a company registration document are required.

A self assessment I have.

A "company registration" document I'm not sure I do.

I'm a sole trader and went through all the documents I've ever received from HMRC and can't see any sort of "company registration" document as I don't have a company per se as I'm  registered as a "sole trader".

Anyone else done this recently and know exactly what document is required?

Don't take company registration too literally. Look at it as a juristic person registration and submit a copy of your registration as sole trader. In a letter accompanying your visa application, explain why you don't have a company registration but a sole trader registration.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

I can't find the web page from which you copied the above-quoted text. Do you have a link to it?

I can recall people getting the METV in London with only the self assessment. Perhaps the info should a and/or statement.

I don't have any official document, that I can see, that says "you're now a sole trader" either though. I'll send them what I have plus the self assessment and hopefully they accept it.  :)

It's mentioned here:

OK, thanks for the info. I'll send them what I have in regards to self employment and the bank statement and hopefully it's enough.

I'll also include my return flight home for later in the year and flights and hotel I've already booked for another trip outside of Thailand.

Should give them enough info.
