Featured Replies

For those that don't know the TM 7 is now used with a TM 2 form, anyone know how far in advance you can do the extension?

TM.7 is an extension of stay request and has nothing to do with transportation (TM.2)  (you provide your arrival form/copy as has always been required)

Been doing a acknowledgement of the conditions and terms for an extension of stay form for many years now.  It has a 2 at the top of the form but it is not a TM form. Download: acknow_con2stay.pdf

You can apply up to 30 days a most office and 45 day at some offices.

Spoke to the immigration officer this morning and he stated "TM 2" never used this form before.

I had a great link for downloading different Immigration forms here in Thailand, it was given to me by Thaivisa... the link is;

https://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=download

Now when clicking this link, it doesnt´t seem to work any more. Do anyone have any idea´if there is a new link. so that I can get access to all the immigration forms in BOTH PDF as well as in WORD formats??

Thanks in beforehand..

So, pray tell us what the officer told you needed to be entered on this "Information Of Conveyance" Form. How you conveyed yourself back into LOS from your last trip to foreign parts? Or how you plan to convey yourself from home to your local immigration office with your retirement extension application?

And which is your local immigration office, please?

They should of been using it. It has been a requirement for a long time and has been on the immigration download page for a long time. But is not really a TM2 form.

I asked the officer of the TM 7 form I was holding was still the correct form to use he said yes but you also need the TM 2 form, it's purely an acknowledgement of terms form, never used this before, Phuket immigration.

https://www.immigration.go.th/download/ but only in Thai for the Immigration Bureau's inscrutable reasons. The hallowed TM2 form is the 7th one down.

Just now, OJAS said:

It's the 7th one down in the downloadable list on the new IB website at https://www.immigration.go.th/download/

It is this one on the site if you translate it to english with google.

That is about all that is needed for the form I posted a download link for. I assume you mean the real TM2 form.

Guy said this is a TM2 I'm not going to argue with him, this is what you need along with the TM7.

If you download this form you will see that it is the same form. It appears though the top right of the form has been chopped off that is in Thia and ends with a 2. acknow_con2stay.pdf

Maybe a new form as far as Phuket is concerned, but I've had to complete it for my last 2 retirement extensions at Rayong (and will no doubt have to complete it for a 3rd time when I apply for my next extension there in a fortnight's time).

Not had this form in the past 7 yrs here, why they can't stick to one process is beyond me, every time I go there is something new.

Indeed. But at least the dreaded Foreign National Information form appears to have died a death since I was asked to fill it out at Rayong last year!

A off topic post meant to derail the topic and the expected replies to it have been removed.

So does that mean you must pay immigration to inspect the conveyance as per the last page? It even asks the number of crew members. Maybe this form is for those arriving by sea? either way I have never ever filled out this form or ever been asked to do so.

Think it is a case of "we have the power, you do as we say"

Rather confusingly there seem to be in existence 2 separate forms numbered TM2 - and the version under discussion here is the one illustrated in post #19.

But maybe if the rains return with avengeance over the next few weeks and the only way in which we can get to our immigration office is by boat we'll need to complete the other version as well!

I still have never been asked to fill that form either. Though that form might have been incorporated into another for non O immigration visa's? Not really sure.

There is only one TM2 form The form being discussed is a immigration form 2.

The wording in Thai for TM form in Thai is different than what is on top of the other form.

Just an immigration officer incorrectly calling it a TM2 form.
