June 30, 20179 yr Hey fellow CMians, Just returned from a trip to my girlfriend's family and been welcomed to the discovery that my rather expensive monitor (30K baht) is failing to power on. Sadly it only had 12 months warranty and it's now about 18 months old. Hoping it's just the power supply (already tried switching the cable) but need to take it somewhere for a professional to diagnose. Would welcome suggestions about where would be best do that. Thanks in advance for any helpful replies. :) Edited June 30, 20179 yr by Chesterpot
June 30, 20179 yr Amorn. Not as cheap as they once were and parking is not as easy either, but for electrical appliance troubleshooting and repair, they are very good. They are right on the moat near the Computer Plaza and Icon Buildings on Manee Nopparat.
July 1, 20179 yr Khun Kong of PW in Pantip Plaza (now 3rd floor) highly recommended. Speaks good English, reasonably priced and an expert in repairing monitors. I've known him for 20 years and always use his services for computer problems.
July 6, 20179 yr Author Apologies for the late response but in the end I went to Amorn. They fixed it quickly and expected it was a faulty power supply cable. They fixed it for 2000 baht, which is not too bad I think. Would be happy to use their service again.
