By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- A part of Phaholyothin Road, near the construction of a station for the Green Line electric train, subsided late Sunday night, causing a large hole.

Police said the subsiding happened at about 10.30pm in front of Soi Phaholyothin Road 34 near the construction site of the Senanikhom Station of the Morchit-Saphan Mai-Khukot electric train.

The hole was about three metres wide, 10 metres long and two metres deep and was near a Metropolitan Electricity Authority manhole where power cables were kept.

The authorities sealed off a part of the road.
