OP why are you concerned about a bar in Pattaya being closed?

Thousands more to go to, or do they owe you money?

If they owe you money, say bye -bye to it.

I'm asking because it was a good bar with great patrons...That's it, no ulterior motives such as what you think!

Once the OP expanded on the reason for his question, that got me interested. The bar's FB pages, if it's the one on Buakhao, was updated regularly until early May, then nothing. So it doesn't look good. But it did get good reviews.

Anything even appearing closed, you see, violates the NO CHANGE and AT ALL TIMES rules of TVF Economics. So it is extremely important as proof that Pattaya's, and indeed Thailand's, long-prophesied Final Days are nigh and thus The Rapture. Then the Thais finally get their comeuppance for being so much stupider than our ace Economists, Engineers, & Urban Planners. Hee hee! And, you know, for charging more than 100 baht for stuff. Hence the closing of a crappy faux-Irish bar in a terrible location was seized upon for the classic Why Is Everything Closing Down?  In 2010.

Tons of bars are closing all over Pattaya. But this is an ongoing cycle. New farang buys a bar because for him it will be different! and after three years of struggling and newly developed cirrhosis he puts a 4 sale sign

Rinse and repeat [emoji22]

New ones open too; there is one near the corner of Klang and Beach Road (as yet unnamed). Must be a pretty high rent in that space. Good luck to them; an enormous amount of passing trade will help.

Go JSixpack Go, not everyone can appreciate Shakespeare ;-)

How sharper than a serpent's tooth it is to have a thankless child!
:jap:

Or more relevantly, how about Shakespeare's:

"Life is as tedious as a twice-told tale

Vexing the dull ear of a drowsy man"

I think that is relevant for anyone who has been in range of a drunken barstool philosopher.
