webfact
Parents ask for barriers at BTS train station By Thai PBS BANGKOK: -- Parents of Bangkok Christian College students have asked management of the BTS elevated train system to install barriers on the platform of the Surasak train station for the sake of safety of students. The request for the installation of barriers on the platform of the station followed an incident on Wednesday when a student’s foot got stuck in the gap between the platform kerb and a carriage of the train, apparently, as he tried to board the train at about 4 pm. Fortunately however, a BTS security guard activated the alarm system to alert the train driver not to move the train out of the station as the guard and other parents tried successfully to pull the victim’s trapped foot out of the gap.
