I need to update my tourist visa knowledge.

Featured Replies

I've been on the retirement visa for a couple of years and foolishly went traveling for the first part of the year.

I came back on a tourist visa and went to work teaching, so now I have a non-b. I hated working as a slave, for slave wages, and will be quitting at the end of the month.

I will need to get another tourist visa, which will be my second in this passport. After that, I will go back on the 'retirement visa'. Considering the changing nature of visa's here can someone, Ubon, anyone tell me the length of the visas? 60 days + an extension, correct?

I plan to go to Phnom Penh, if I can, for this visa. Is this advisable? If not, where? I'm in Bangkok.

I'm looking for an easy, no forward flight, kind of situation.

Thanks, in advance!

Correct it is 60 days with a 30 day extension. I will leave the best place responses for others as I believe some locations may require different things such as certain amount of cash, etc.

The easiest place, in terms of requirements is Vientiane. In Phnom Penh, you should use an agent if you want the visa in less than 4 working days, and the agents fee will likely be higher if you cannot show an onward flight out of Thailand. Ho Chi Minh City and Penang might be other options.
