July 15, 20179 yr GLO apologizes for wording error on lottery tickets The Government Lottery Office (GLO) has offered an apology for the use of wrong words, both Thai and English, to describe two tapirs which were printed on the lottery tickets for the July 16 draw. Thai lottery tickets are printed with educational illustration such as animals, Thai desserts, and Thai traditional arts. The July 16 tickets go with tapir illustration. However, the GLO described the tapir as “Hybrid animals” or “Sat Pasom” in Thai. Admin of an animal-lover Facebook page “Sarapansat” noticed the error, saying tapir is a pure breed, not hybrid animals.
