Multi-reentry or other Tourist Visa ?

Featured Replies

So, I have a re-entry permit , I am outside Thailand now.  the re-entry is good till Dec 5, 2017.

I am planning on return to Thailand, mid -Sept and staying till Dec 1, 2017  or so.   However, I may like to travel to Myanmar and Lao  ,  so :

1) Do I just go out to CW and get a multi reentry permit once I'm back in BKK?

2) what is the current cost of the Multi-re-entry, assuming I am eligible for it, on this status ?

3) is there a Tourist Visa for the 70-80 days, that might be more cost effective and less hassle than a trip out to CW ?

Thank you, in advance.

Multi Re-entry Permit! I think 2500 Baht or two singles for 1000 baht each.

A tourist visa can be obtained in Laos for 1000Bht - It provides for a 60 day stay extendable for another 30 at an immigration office for 1900 Bht.

A multi entry reentry permit costs 3800 Bht and would be valid up until Dec5 2017.

Can I get 2 singles  at the same time,  or must I use 1 , and then venture again to CW?

You can only have one valid re-entry permit in your passport.

You can get re-entry permits at either airport in Bangkok on departure from the country.

I think I'd feel better venturing out to CW, I don't trust the airports,  last time,  officer  fed  me  wrong information,  CW probably less hassle than getting 60 day tourist visa  while  in Laos....  I could get the 60 day here in the US, and  depart to Lao, within the 1st 60 days,   and then  If I were to fly back  from Laos ,  do I get 30 days   @ Don Meung ?

If you're a national that qualifies for visa exempt entry you'd get 30 days at DMK.

Ubonjoe,

So, in this situation.  Entering on a reentry permit, I am Still  allowed to go out to CW and get more ?

Up until  the current date of when the current  re-entry permit expires?  I guess I will get stamped into the country  up till the last day of the  current  re-entry ?

Maybe I'll just get  1 re-entry , and avoid  any guess work  on a cheaper  way to do this  , this time....
