webfact Posted July 26, 2017 Share Posted July 26, 2017 City Hall to discuss court’s order to change road name By Thai PBS BANGKOK: -- Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will call an urgent meeting with directors of Phya Thai and Din Daeng district offices to discuss the Supreme Administrative Court’s order to change the name of a section of Sutthisan Winitchai Road to Inthamara. On July 20, the court, in response to a complaint from the Inthamara family, ordered Bangkok governor, the city clerk and district chiefs of Phya Thai and Din Daeng district offices to right the wrong within 180 days. According to the complainant, a police committee resolved in 1960 to name the road section as “Inthamara” to honour Pol Lt Gen Toh Inthamara, who developed the area into police accommodation.
