SIHANOUKVILLE: -- Mark Coutelas, made famous by the iconic “Solo” lemon-flavoured soft drink advertisements in Australia in the 1980s and arrested in Phuket for crystal meth twice, now faces drugs charges in Cambodia.

Coutelas, 57, was arrested by military police at a guesthouse in Sihanoukville and yesterday (July 25) appeared at Preah Sihanouk provincial court under the charges of unlawful keeping, transporting or trafficking of narcotics alongside three other suspects with drug offences, reports News.com,au.

Coutelas is currently in Preah Sihanouk provincial prison and will face court at a later date, said the report.

Another idiot throwing his life away for drugs

As a kid, I was taught that, if you did something wrong and got caught, you did not dare do it again.

This fella obviously did not have similar parenting !

Good guys in, bad guys out working?

Given he's in prison in Cambodia it doesn't really apply does it.

On topic, many older Australians well remember the iconic Solo TV ad and probably used to sing along with the music. However, virtually no one knew the character's name.

Not so much the case now, such is infamy!

He started overdosing on solo soda, way to young, which, as a gateway drug, has led to this.

Talk talk keyboard warriors, in real life, in front of him, you would have all already shiiiteeed in your pants.

Does, as more of his ilk will also be encouraged to leave and go to Cambodia or elsewhere.

I feel sorry for this man, I can't believe how desperate your addiction must be to lead you down this path without seeking rehabilitation from the thing that is killing you.
