I deposit into Kasikorn using the machines every month . This was new information to me.

Will make sure to deposit after 5 AM.

Happened to me once at a Bangkok Bank CDM. I called them up, they asked me how much I deposited and at which location. They told me that I would get a call the next day, which I did, and would fix my problem which they also did.

this is a non issue, a moron  complaining about the bank because he has no understanding of bank policy or funds settlement/clearing

yeah, sort of like the morons who have no understanding of the difference between a funds transfer or check deposit, and a cash deposit

Everyone with a pulse understands the hold on check deposits, but if the bank isn't going to immediately credit a cash deposit during certain hours, then it shouldn't accept it in the first place.

Not Thai banks! They do not use the world standard of crediting your account and putting a hold on the funds until verified. When the funds clear they will update your account or bank book then the funds are available to you.

This even applies when you get a cashiers or as they call it a mgrs check from one branch and deposit in another branch. They don't even trust their own checks!

just about every bank in the world has a delay when you pay in money, most people know that, pay a cheque in and its up to 3 days so he was covered.

In the USA, Wells Fargo ATMs scan in the money, you feed in up to 20 bills at a time.  The funds are available immediately.  Other ATMs of course you put the money in an envelope and deposit it.  The bank doesn't know what you put in, so yes, they typically wait until the morning and a teller opens the ATM from the inside of the bank, and pulls out the night's deposits.

Just a case of a man who has no idea how to run his financial affairs.

Typical of people here, last minute no thought about planning ahead.

Yep, that's my wife all over
