Working, Need Permit

G'day just curious . I have read alot about working/volunterring in the KIngdom. My question in , if I buy a run down house in Bkk ( in my daughter's name of course) .... and if I do alot of the restoration work myself is this considired "work" by the thai authorities . Sorry about the spelling, too many Changs ..u know how it is :o

depends who you upset. If you upset the wrong Thai, and he informs immigration you are working, (even if it is on your own house), then you could be in trouble.

FACT: A man in Pattaya was visited by immigration and fined for working on his house. I know his neighbour. He sacked some Thai workers after falling out with them, and it is thought that they went to immigration to report him.
