Coming in via air - no special number of times... AND you will NOT have a tourist-VISA,,, you are actually going to have a Tourist-VISA excempt, which means you have a VISA-FREE stay in Thailand för 30 days, which can be extended for another 30 days against 1.900 baht.

If you enter Thailand by air using the 'visa exempt' scheme on frequent basis you can expect at some point to be challenged by immigration. At land borders there is a strictly enforced limit of two visa exempt entries per year. 

 

You should ensure you have 20,000 Bht (or equivalent) in cash when entering the country.

 

 

There is no 30 day tourist visa. A tourist visa would be issued by an embassy or consulate and it would allow a 60 day entry.

Without a visa for entry you would get 30 day visa exempt entry.
