THAI Smiles earns ISO 9000:2015 certification

 

 

BANGKOK: -- THAI Smiles earns ISO 9001: 2015 certification for the provision of ground support equipment services and ground customer services to scheduled flight

 

Wiwat Piyawiroj, Acting Chief Executive Officer of THAI Smile Airways, stated in a press statement that the airline is proud to earn the ISO 9001: 2015 certification from TUV NORD for the provision of ground support equipment services and ground customer services to scheduled flight.

 

"This success would not happen if not for our customer service department that joined forces to set up a customer service management system for THAI Smile Airways while enhancing efficiency to meet the international standards. This is also in line with the company's guidelines and strategy that aims to provide maximum satisfaction and excellent service to all passengers."

 

 Achieving the certification is not only a guarantee of service that will build confidence for customers, but also encourages the customer service department, as well as all the team of THAI Smile to keep on improving their potential, as well as developing product and service with a high ambition of being one of the leading airlines in Asia in the future, he said.

One would have expected the ISO certification to be a prerequisite for operating an airline? 

 

Better late than never.

What year is it ?

I guess someone doesn' t quite understand what ISO 9001 certification means.  Still, it's a start of an improvement !

Another company conned by the ISO system !!

Thai Smile is wholly-owned by Thai International, yet it was set-up and started operating, without automatically conforming to their own ISO-standards of operation ?   Why ever not ?
