I'v had peace of mind for 68 years regarding bugs in the furniture and I never even heard of this stuff.

UV has been used on hockey equipment for a while now. They can sure can get stinky. Get a face wash with a hockey glove and that's all you smell for the rest of the game. That's why players hate it so much.
