Bouakao covers almost the full range from very basic hostel or guest-house to good hotel. Starts at 300 a night to more than 2500.- for some hotels. At low end are Sawadee group, R-con and countless basic room rentals, there is even a Holiday Express being built right now. Areca or the LK Group hotels are still reasonably popular. Many newer city hotels on Soi Honey Inn. A  good choice with nice studios and well liked is also Meow's Rentals at Diana-Oasis, quiet and great location and pools.  Find all on Google.
