12 month multi entry Non Immigrant O visa

Featured Replies

I am going to the Royal Thai Embassy in London in the next few weeks to obtain the above mentioned visa.

1. Married to a Thai National (5 years)

2. 57 Years old

3. UK national

I have copies of marriage cert, wifes ID and passport, also all originals as my wife is currently in the UK on a 6 month visit. I have down loaded the application form, and have passport photos and relevant signed copies of the fore mentioned documents.

Do i need to show any monies from my bank accounts.

Do I need to show any other documents.

I have had a previous 3 month non o issued at Birmingham (yes i know this consulate is now closed) and did 2 (12 month) extensions of stay in Thailand a few years ago, but have been back in the UK since 2015, and now wish to go down the Multi imm O route.

Any advice form someone who has been there and done this recently appreciated.

You do not need financial proof.

You appear to have all the required documents.

There is glaring error on their website  showing an income equal to what is needed for retirement. It has been on the site for a long time. But they have never requested it when an application is done.

Yes that was what, getting me a little worried, thanks again

I got one there, by post, last year with just a copy of my wife's ID and our marriage certificate. No financials required.

Thanks for the info , going to go down in person, next week.

I will be going there soon with same documents as OP, plus daughters birth cert and blue house book. What copied documents does the wife need to sign? Also, I think u need copies of both sides of the marriage certificate right?

TIA

OK  went to Embassy in Queens Gate, on Tuesday, hand over completed visa application form, my passport, copy wifes ID and Passport, and Copy marriage ceftificate (this is the all Thai, one, (un translated) in case anyone wants to know) and £125.00 cash. Arrived at 09.10 left at 09.30.........returned today Wednesday with my green raffle ticket ( to claim my passport back) , arrived at 11.20 went to window 3, and got passport back with a 12 month multi non imm O visa......it was so simple.........when i think of all the papper work i had to complete to get my wife here in the UK on a 6 month visa..........and 1 hour at VFS in BKK and a 7 day wait (which was good) for an out come.......

I'm lucky as I@m only an hours train ride into London, and have plenty of time on my hands.
