August 10, 20178 yr Earlier this year I had some preparation work done for dental implants at the Bangkok Smile Dental Clinic. Apparently, I need to undergo a sinus lift and bone graft surgery. However, the CT scan images showed a slight abnormality on the right maxillary sinus. I was told by the Smile Clinic that I need to get this "abnormality" examined before they can proceed further. I think it is just a precautionary measure (I don't have any sinus problems) but in the worst case scenario it might require surgery. I am looking for some advice/suggestions on where I can get this examination done. I appreciate I could just go to the Bumrungrad - but ideally I am looking for a lower cost alternative. Any recommendations will be highly appreciated. Thanks
August 11, 20178 yr I recommend Prof. Songklot at St Louis Hospital. You'll need to call them fr his hours, I think it is twice a week. He is very good and the hospital is reasonable in price. On Sathorn road near the Surasak BTS tel 0-2838-5555 http://www.saintlouis.or.th/index Get the CT images or CD to bring with you when you go
August 11, 20178 yr Author Thanks for your input Sheryl. I have followed up on your suggestion and arranged to meet Prof. Songklot next Sunday. By the way, twice per week is correct - his office hours are Thursdays (16:00 - 19:30) and Sundays (08:30 - 16:00).
August 11, 20178 yr Thanks for that. Get there as early as possible as they see patients in the order they arrive, even if with appointment, and you'll have to register first for a patient number on the ground floor.
