SETV Re entry permit

Featured Replies

A friend has just arrived on a SETV, he is planning to stay a month then return to the UK.

From what I understand if he gets a re entry permit before he leaves when he returns again he will be granted up the remainder of his "admitted to"  on his original entry stamp

If he arrives say 2 days before his original admitted to stamp could he then go to Immigration to apply for a extra 30 days on his SETV the next day?

He could get a re-entry permit to keep the remainder of the 60 day entry valid when he re-enters the country and then apply for the 30 day extension.

But why do it with only 2 days remaining on the entry when he could get a 30 day visa exempt entry and then extend it for 30 days if he wanted to.

He does a month here and a month at home and has been doing for a while and wants to continue doing so

With the problems some people are having at the Airport he is just looking at the best ways to avoid having issues

Yes I have suggested the METV to him :-)
