Jackie66
I entered Thailand on a visa exempt entry. After 30 days i went to immigration to extend for 60 days for visiting Thai child. Since i was missing some document needed they suggested i get a 30 day extension (which i did) and come back before that expired with all the documents and get an extra 60 days. Now my question is if that is possible? I always thought after one extension there are no more possibilities to extend again without leaving the country. The immigration officer which i asked several times to make sure we understand each other said it is possible if the reason for extension is different. So first 30 days as tourist and second 60 days for visiting Thai child. Anyone know if it is possible or not? Thank you in advance.
ubonjoe
The extensions are based upon different reasons is why some immigration offices will do the 60 day extension after the 30 day extension. If they are saying they will do it go back and get the 60 day extension.
Jackie66
Thank you. This is in Bangkok. I will try it. I do have one more question. Is it a problem if i go do the extension one day after my current expires? I would have to pay 500 thb for one day overstay?

You can do the extension a week early and lose no days.
