Qatar Doha – Chiang Mai Non-Stop Flight Delayed to December

CityNews – Qatar Airways has delayed its launch date for a new Doha-Chiang Mai non-stop service until December, according to news reports.

 

Qatar Airways has given no reason as to why the new route has been delayed, but have announced that the first flight will land in Chiang Mai on December 8.

The Qatar web site seems to know nothing about this new service,

tried to see if i could get fares for April ex Birmingham,to CNX and

the flight is via Bangkok,on Thai or Bangkok airways.

When I checked earlier in the year the Flt, BKK to Man UK was B140,000 business class.

What I found:

during the winter timetable (until end of March?) a connection from MAN to CNX with one stop in DOH is only possible on Saturday and Sunday.

The flights from MAN on the other days simply don't have a useful connection time (except you want to stay 20h or so in DOH).

 

There is no nonstop flight shown on the Qatar website for April.

It ends sometime at end of March.

So either they have simply not updated the summer timetable or the article is wrong and the season ends in March?
