FracturedRabbit
Off with my wife to the UK (she has her visa). Do we have to go through separate immigration routes, or can I take her with me through the (presumably shorter) UK passport queue? Thanks
Upnotover
She can enter with you through the UK/EU line.
bobrussell
You can accompany her, whichever line you chose. Just go for the shortest! Non-EU line can be shorter at times!
Boycie
My wife and I joined the shorter queue of UK/EU nationals at Heathrow. I was holding a UK passport. Be prepared to get asked a lot more questions than your wife does. I felt like i was being labelled a Human Trafficker! Welcome to Great Britain.

theoldgit
When we arrive in the UK I normally opt for the shortest queue, be it the EU line or the line for those from outside of the EU, I do so in the knowledge that it's better for the Border Force Officer to have both travellers together in case they want to ask questions of both, and also that it's Border Force policy not to split families, we have never had an issue with whichever line we used, though quite often the non EU line seemed to be running quicker. On our last entry into LHR we were fortunate enough to be travelling in a premium cabin so we went via the fast track lane, however we noticed that the UK/EU travellers were being directed to an automated gate, so that wouldn't really have been an option, I'm assuming there were also staffed desks, but we couldn't see them.
