Corruption activist wants top officers probed over Yingluck’s flight

By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Anti corruption activist Srisuwan Chanya on Monday filed a petition with the National Anti-Corruption Commission, asking it to investigate the failure of top security officers to prevent former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra from fleeing the country.

Srisuwan focused on Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan and police chief Pol General Chakthip Chaijinda, accusing them of being negligent in their duty.

He sees the negligence as allowing Yingluck to flee the country despite being closely watched by security officers.

Is this guy part of the plan ?  Did he take acting lessons too or is he being serious ?  Yingluck's flight from "justice" takes enormous pressure off the junta.

The very best that could happen to Thai governemt is that Yingluck fled the country . They government won't have a martyr in prison what would lead to political unrest .

But please stop all that hypocrism like " I have no idea how ... , " Who could have helped her ... " , All these muppets are only actors playing their role , and not even playing it good , because everybody knows the truth . For me they all lost their " face " to the max already .

Hypocrism , Ignorance and Arrogance reigns paired with a complete disrespect of what other people think . This is an autocratic system , not a democratic one , people in this country are not free , only up to a certain extent , that line passed , no justice to be expected ...

thai 'officials' are entertaining; what they say reveals their stupidity; what they do or dont do reveals their ineptitude;

There is almost no doubt she was "let go". Thai airspace is highly restricted. It is some of the most restricted airspace in the world. There is less than a 1% chance she could have left without being given permission. There is less than a 1% chance she left by land. This is just not the way she rolls. She left by air, in a private jet. How many private jets are there in Thailand? And how hard is it to keep track of them? Not hard at all.

Also, when he claims they were not watching her, that is patently false. Of course they were. She was up on charges, for the biggest trial of the decade. The chances of them not watching her were less than zero. She was let go. It was probably decided at the highest levels, that this was the best outcome for all. And now the little man is playing the same inane game of deflection that Trump plays daily. Just say it, and a percent of the people will buy it. Well, this guy does not. And neither do most.

Some low level official/s will be sacrificed to protect their 'bosses'. :sad:

They are probably drawing straws now.  We will find out shortly who picked the short straw.

If so, it is the only smart thing the junta has done in the last three years.

Her route is a curiosity.  Was she driven to Cambodia ?
