BANGKOK: -- Outlets for sales of one tambon one product (OTOP) and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) goods will be opened at all 28 airports in the country under the jurisdiction of the Department of Airports, according to department director-general Darun Saengchai.

Mr Darun said that this will be carried out jointly under a memorandum for cooperation signed by the Department of Airports, Thai Industrial Standards Institute, Thai Smile Airways Co and Small and Medium Enterprises Development Bank of Thailand under a project to “promote OTOP and SMEs products in line with the government’s Thailand 4.0 policy.”

wonder if they will put the extra farang percentage price on them to make even more profit, better off to buy outside the airports where they dont rip farangs off.

Another useless store, I will have to bypass on the way to the gate...

Thailand's airports are not really much of a bargain.  Have better luck in Hong Kong, Singapore, KL, Taipei and Beijing.  Never look at anything while waiting for a flight.

Some of those OTOP products are quite okay, but I seldom see people buying much of that stuff. Do they really need to open 28 more shops nationwide?
