BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha reiterated that the transfer of the director of the National Office of Buddhism (NOB) was not a punishment.

 

The prime minister’s reaction came after the cabinet on Tuesday (Aug 29) approved the transfer of Pol Lt-Col Pongporn Pramsaneh, NOB director, to the Prime Minister’s Office.

 

The transfer came amid controversy relevant to frauds of temple subsidies by senior officials at the office.
