Thankyou ubonjoe, I have been in Thailand since 2005, married a Thai woman in 2010. I didn't bother with the marriage visa, just kept renewing my OA visa every year. I think this year I might apply for the marriage visa, and I have the 400,000 in the bank. Do I have to leave the country to change the visa? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Went through the drive through, already had the form completed and tucked into the proper passport page. No cars ahead of me, out in about 3 minutes, very convenient.

My mother was his other fan. She's been dead for many years as well. Doesn't bode well for the fan club.

The fellow at the currency exchange desk told me yesterday that Central Festival branch would be a good option for me, and that I won't have to transfer money or close accounts, just bank as normal using my existing bank books etc. Hope it's true, although I'm not enthralled with Central Festival.
