There was a tv documentary some years ago into the Teflon issue and after the investigation by government, Teflon was banned. It was supposedly replaced with a different coating on cooking utensils, that was/ is not hazardous to health. PFOA and PTFE has been banned in the manufacture of non stick coating for cooking utensils. However there are so many qualified " health experts" on the web, who seem to have different opinions on this.
