Both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of frequent ceasefire breaches since it began on 10 October. Gaza's Civil Defence reported the death toll from the strikes, while Al-Shifa hospital noted a separate gunfire exchange resulting in an additional casualty.

In support of the ceasefire's second phase, Indonesia, a Board member, has committed 8,000 troops to Gaza. The conflict traces back to a Hamas-led attack on Israel in October 2023, resulting in significant casualties and hostages, triggering Israel’s military response.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Trump in Washington to discuss Iran's nuclear ambitions, though no definitive agreements were reached. Further talks with Iran are scheduled for Tuesday in Geneva.
