Thai wifey and I are moving to Udon Thani, we have a problem in that the new house has no phone connection and TT&T are quoting 2 year wait and TOT 1 year for a line, I would much appreciate any advise on getting a line sooner if possible.

Ozzy, I believe it may be possilble to buy a line from somebody who allready has one. I have seen requests for this on the boards here.

I've heard tell of people expediting this process by paying more money to get their line. I presume the extra fees are both for the phone company having to run special wiring and for money to get them off their collective asses to do their jobs and provide some service.
