Visa Query

Recommended Posts

:o I am currently over here having arrived on a Multiple B Visa, my uk fiancee and baby with me on multiple non-o... My WP application is underway and would expect :D it by the end of the month, I have heard that once I have my WP then my partner would not have to do a visa run after 90 days of arrival.. Is this correct? Someone told me I would have to be married in order for them not having to do a visa run.

Thank you in advance.

no

They were right. You also must have a extension of stay based on business as well ( not just having the work permit.

thank you ... so just to clarify..

when I receive my work permit, I must do a visit to immigration office every 90 day to register address?

As I am not married to my partner (who has a multiple non O) she will have to do a visa run every 90 days, correct?

Will baby have to go?

When we get married she can do immigration visit every 90 days same as me?

Not right. You must continue to do 90 day visa runs unless/until you qualify for an extension of stay from Immigration and that will also require reactivate work permit each time. So if you qualify you do want to apply for extension of stay. A work permit gives you no right to remain in Thailand, only to work.

Your non wife will have to do 90 day visa runs until marriage and your extension of stay - at which time she could then obtain an extension of stay.

Once extensions of stay are obtained you must then do 90 day address reports to immigration but that can be done by mail or proxy.

The child will not have to leave country as there is no penalty for overstay of a child.
