winson1742 Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 Now i've the scan id card but it abit blur... Second, i hadthe census registration which i don't what is it actually.. So what should i do next? As these are the only two things she had. To me the census registration is good news in that it means she probably is one of those that were counted as stateless persons and is one of the many waiting for Thai citizenship. Is it jsut a peice of paper or is it a book? That means also she is not considered a migrant worker as somebody posted earlier. You need to try and get some information about the application process for the Travel Document that is number one on my list. There is a phone number given on the webpage for it try and call them. It lists a Certificate of Alien as one of the documents needed that may be all she needs but you have to find out what it is and how to get it. It's just a piece of paper with photo on it together with 2 elder sibling. I've tried call the number but either engage or nobody answer the phone. Example, if me and have baby. Is my child consider an alien too? Or will it fasten up the process?
Mario2008 Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 If you were to have a child together the child might have your nationality. That might be of soem benefit. But as said before, for the question if it will make it easier for your wife to come to SG you will have to go to a lawyer in SG, with knowledge of immigration law.

I think thats a real important document. I found an email address you could try [email protected] . There are several numbers listed just keep trying. Have you tried 02-575-1062,3, or 4 If Singapore is like most countries your child would be eligible to be a citizen of Singapore. It could speed things up but I can't give a real solid answer to that question.
winson1742 Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 (edited) These are the document ihave in hand..But, i can't paste the photo Edited February 20, 2009 by winson1742

So what should i do next? As these are the only two things she had. Get the two documents, ID card and census registration, translated and see if either gives a clue as to her status in Thailand; stateless, refugee, migrant worker or illegal alien etc. Or you could ask the local Amphur as was suggested previously.

When you do a reply (not fast reply) you will see the area that says manage attachments. Click browse and then select the file and then upload. ubonjoe Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 The yellow house book is good. That means she is registered with the Thai goverment. I have posted a link to your post in a topic on the Thai lanquage forum to get a translation of her ID and the other document. Link to topic: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?s=...t&p=2549686

Link to topic: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?s=...t&p=2549686 ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! 103 posts into this topic and we are just now learning about the yellow house book. What other surprises does winson1742 have for us? I question whether or not winson1742 even knows the full story. Is he being manipulated by the GF, can he possibly be a troll?
winson1742 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 I'm not understand ofwhat u guys aying about the yellow book. Is it important? If she got that book, does that mean it's easier to get the thai citizen?
Mario2008 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 The yellow book means she is registered with the government nd should make it easier for you two to get married in Thailand. It also means that she is not a Thai national.
Lite Beer Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 The yellow Tabien Baan was issued about 10 years ago. The ID Card is for a Non Thai.
ubonjoe Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 From the topic I posted on the Thai language forum. Answers a lot of questions. Picture #2: ทะเบียนประวัติชุมชนบนพื้นที่สูงตามแผนแม่บท ฯ ฉบับที่ 2 แผ่นที่......ในจำนวน...... -Highlander (hill tribe communities) registration record following the model plan, etc. Page....of.... Day, month, year record was made เป็นชาวเขาดั้งเดิมซึ่งมีภูมสำเนาอยู่ที่อำเภอ......จังวัด โดยมีหลักฐานมาแสดงคือ Originally/traditionally a hilltribe person located in Amphur......Jangwat.... with proof/identifying features(of location I assume) such as..... And ID Card without Thai Citizenship Picture #5: Department of Interior, Ministry of Interior Restrictions/requirements on the bearers of those carrying this ID 1) This card is not a (Thai nationality) identification card 2) Carry this card with you at all times for inspection 3) The person whose name is on this card is not allowed to leave the district of the area who distributed the card except by special written permission
winson1742 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 The yellow Tabien Baan was issued about 10 years ago.The ID Card is for a Non Thai. Yes. It's done about 14years ago. Any idea, how to make her a thai citizen in a fast way or can she leave the country?
InterestedObserver Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Winson1742 - About this yellow house book, who owns the property, land and house, and what is their relationship to your GF?
winson1742 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 Winson1742 - About this yellow house book, who owns the property, land and house, and what is their relationship to your GF? It think they're cousin.
ubonjoe Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Yes. It's done about 14years ago. Any idea, how to make her a thai citizen in a fast way or can she leave the country? She may be on the list of thousands that are waiting for Thai citizenship. I suggest you both go to the distrcit office where she is registered and inquire about getting married if that is what you want to do. Ask them what is needed besides an affirmation to marry from you that you can get from your embassy. If you get married it will make it much easier to get her a visa to Singapore or even permanent residence before leaving. You would still need to get her the travel document that we have discussed before. She will need it to leave the country.
InterestedObserver Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 (edited) Winson1742 - About this yellow house book, who owns the property, land and house, and what is their relationship to your GF? It think they're cousin. What is the family relationship of this "cousin"? How can this "cousin" own property if she isn't Thai? Is your GF a blood relative of her "cousin", a Thai? If your GF blood line (DNA) can be established as being Thai, from the "cousin" who should be Thai because she owns property, then you are all set. Or am I missing something, like the "cousin" was naturalized. Somewhere there should be a Thai in the family history. Edited February 22, 2009 by InterestedObserver

ubonjoe Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Winson1742 - About this yellow house book, who owns the property, land and house, and what is their relationship to your GF? A yellow house book does not require land ownership to get it is merely an alien regsitration book. It's even on my list of things to do. Lots for foreigners have them. It's even a pinned topic on the housing forum.

ubonjoe Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 So how am i suppose to apply the travel document for her? What do the authority need from her? Is it the email u gave it to me? Its item one on my list. The email I gave you is to get formation on it. You need to confirm what's needed and get an application form.
ubonjoe Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 alien regsitration book? I getting blur here...... Alien is just another name for a foreigner. As I said I plan on getting one but just have not done it yet. It shows your address, date of birth, Maritial status, parents names and can list other family members also.
Mario2008 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 Winston, don't forget to also contact a SG based lawyer. When Thailand will allow her to travel, it doesn't mean that SG will allow her to enter. You have to exlore both sides.
