60 Day Tourist Visa From Phnom Penh

Featured Replies

Ive been in LOS for about 10 months out of the last 12.

Applied for a 60 day visa in PP and got it, but, attached to my passport was a note saying, and I quote,

"Permitted to apply visa in Phnom Penh for only this time. Do not apply new visa in Phnom Penh again."

I guess that means I can't go back to PP for another one.

Yeah I guess so! :o

Did they do it based on your passport "history" (I presume being visa-free arrival stamps+tourist visas?) - or did they not tell you why?

Cheers!

Interesting-was thinking of doing the same-thanks for sharing-trying Penang next week-wonder what thier stance will be?

I didnt talk to anyone. Just left my p/p, application and money and picked it up 2 days later.

They now do quite the same in Laos, cannot apply for more than 2 tourist visas in the same place /year. Don't know if it's a new regulation or if it's to decrease the number of visa applications they have to process...

That's vague: "do not apply...again".

Until when? Forever?

They didn't indicate a period you have to wait before you can apply again?

PP is pretty nasty when it comes to issueing visas to farang .... I went there with official letters etc from Chulalongkorn University for a non-imm-ed visa <2 years ago>and was told to only do this once. That in effect the consular services there were for Cambodians going to Thailand and ONLY for them! (and that they processed 400+ a day)

Im thinking forever, or at least until I get a new passport.

It's my thinking that I can now do a visa run to Lao or Cambo in 2 months.

Just can't apply for another 60 day tourist visa from PP.

If this catches on we'll be in trouble....flying all over the region to obtain tourist visas.

If consulates/embassies have a 2 per year, or even a 1 per year limit, it's still doable.

I better stick with the marriage visa route, and try not to butterfly 2 much

Thanks for your insight into the inner workings of the PP Consulate. I'll just strike that one off my list.

Yes, we have to see this in the same way as the "time shared appartments". They are just forcing us to go out for holiday. I will try to do my next two trips to Kunming and Rayoong. Nice Cities with a long history - and maybe some nice girls :o

I got the same bad expirience when i applied for Non Imm B. All my Docs where ok. I got Nonn B, but they stamped the same in my Passport: "Fore this time only". I dod not argued with them, but there was a Guy and talk very rude to me, almost screaming:" This is not a good place to apply for vias! Don't come here again" I don't know whats going on there.

in Phnom Penh @ the moment..... got the same message in my passport with the most obnoxious, sourfaced woman to present it to me.... i asked what the note meant exactly.... and she screamed back to go to Laos or Myanmar next time...... Cambodia's countryside is beautiful, P.P is safe and far more friendly than Bangkok ...... plenty of room for investment and biz opportunities..... bye bye Thailand..... hello Cambodia....
