in Bangkok has all your answers .They have the exclusive rights from Garmin to make and sell their 3rd partyThai map.

Did you get your map? ESRI or free?

I located two sources online. Rotweiler Maps and MapCenter2

Rotweiler Maps provides very good local maps of Thailand. They will cost you money. Check their website for prices.

MapCenter2 provides FREE maps. In my opinion, the maps are not quite as detailed as Rotweiler's maps but should suffice for many users.

The old adage, "You get what you pay for." applies here.

I think not all the maps form Mapcenter are routable (but they are free). Somebody was saying that from the other sources they are pretty good (but not free). I have no experience with this software (I’m using the map from ESRI :o ).
